Isabelle Vernalia - $1500
Isabelle Vernalia (She/They) is the child of two Bradford College Alums (Lynda Blair Vernalia ’91 and Drew Vernalia ’93). She graduated on May 6, 2023 from Regis College in Weston, Massachusetts with a Bachelor of Arts in Humanities and Education with a Religious & Philosophical Studies Concentration. Isabelle received four awards during their senior year of college in recognition of her leadership, creativity, and passion for bringing diversity and inclusion to the Regis community, as well as her work within Regis’ Humanities Department, the Center for Ministry and Service, and Regis' Glee Singers and Gender and Sexuality Alliance (GSA). Over the summer, Isabelle worked at their childhood summer camp, Camp Mechuwana in Winthrop, ME, where she found her love for working with kids at a young age. Moving forward, Isabelle will begin graduate school - attending Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary in Berkeley, California to pursue a Masters of Divinity and become an ordained pastor in the ELCA Lutheran Church! She loves working with youth and the performing arts, is passionate about creativity and social justice, and as a future pastor hopes to create the safe, open, and affirming spiritual spaces for those who are marginalized, and incorporate more diversity and inclusion in all areas of her work in ministry.
