$1,000 Scholarship Recipient

Ty Atkin is starting his sophomore year at New York University. He enjoys studying psychology and art history. Outside of school, Ty works for America Reads, where he tutored a class of first grade students at a local public school. He also volunteers at Bideawee, an animal shelter where he works with the sick animals. Ty hopes to pursue a position in social work or education after college.
