Meredith Ashleigh Beird
Meredith Ashleigh Beird from Saint Charles, Illinois was awarded a scholarship of $1000 to attend Illinois Wesleyan University in Bloomington, Illinois. Meredith recently graduated from St. Charles North High School. Throughout her high school education, Meridith has maintained consistently strong grades, along with Advanced Placement courses in French, Calculus and Chemistry.
Meredith has also participated in sports throughout her high school years. She has qualified for the Illinois State Championships six separate times across diving, gymnastics, and pole vaulting. Meredith placed ninth in the Illinois State Track and Field championships in 2011 for pole vaulting.
Meredith has also volunteered her free time through the Girl Scouts of America, community events, and a local food kitchen where she provides support to those less fortunate. In her spare time, Meredith loves to read, bike, listen to music and travel. She hopes to take advantage of a Study Abroad program while in college. Meredith was sponsored for the BAA Scholarship by Kathleen Popovich Hamblet '73.
