Spencer Gray

Spencer Gray from Wells, Maine was awarded a scholarship of $1500 to attend Thomas College of Waterville, Maine.  Spencer recently graduated from Wells High and plans to study computer science in college.  Spencer is an active member of his community, volunteering at his church for the past eight years.  He has served in a variety of ways including as a Sunday School instructor, and vacation bible school counselor.  Spencer has also been an active leader in the Wells Park and Recreation Program.  He has served as a summer camp counselor and during the school year in many other activities.  Spencer writes, "I have a bit of a passion for computers, so I'm excited to start college and get a better understanding of the science behind the computers that allow us to accomplish so much in this day and age."  Spencer was sponsored by his mother, Holly Margeson-Gray '83.  Holly writes, "Bradford was the place where I was educated, employed and it was the venue for my wedding reception in 1985.  When Spencer was young, my husband and I purchased a house in Bradford and we spent countless hours walking the Bradford campus as our family grew."
