Nora Hurchick



Nora Hurchick is a senior at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where she is majoring in both journalism and public relations & advertising. Along with her studies, Nora is the president of the Duquesne chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists and a member of the Phi eta Sigma and Omicron Delta Kappa honor societies. Nora has contributed to her community in Pittsburgh by volunteering at the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council, being an orientation leader at Duquesne, raising money for Be The Match Registry, and participating in various food and clothing drives around campus. In her hometown of Scranton, Pennsylvania, Nora has also volunteered for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, organized a bone marrow donor drive, and volunteered at St. Ann's Basilica. Nora was sponsored by her mother, Gail Yasinskas Hurchick '77, who says "Duquesne is to Nora what Bradford is to me."
